Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of musical tribute and patriotism at our October concert, where we celebrate the rich tapestry of American history and honor the heroes who have shaped our nation. Our repertoire spans different eras and themes, promising to take you on an extraordinary journey through time and emotions.

The concert will open with Ayatey Shabazz’s Heroes, a powerful composition that sets the tone for the program, paying homage to those who have shown exceptional courage and sacrifice.

We will then venture into the heart of American tradition with John Philip Sousa’s Fugue on Yankee Doodle, a rousing interpretation of a beloved patriotic tune, followed by Jerry Bilik’s American Civil War Fantasy, an evocative piece that captures the essence of a defining period in our history.

Journeying forward in time, we will delve into the World War I era with Jari Villanueva’s medley, taking us through the emotions and memories of this pivotal conflict. High Flight by Bruce Healey will elevate our spirits with its soaring melodies.

Larry Dean’s West Point Bicentennial March and Robert W. Smith’s Inchon will transport us through moments of triumph and valor, while Salute to Bob Hope by Warren Barker pays tribute to the legendary entertainer who brought joy to countless troops overseas.

Our repertoire also includes a modern twist with Mark Hendricks’ arrangement of We Gotta Get Out of This Place and a moment of reflection with William Schuman’s When Jesus Wept.

As the program draws to a close, we will evoke a profound sense of duty and honor with The Mansions of the Lord arranged by Ted Ricketts, followed by Bob Lowden’s stirring Armed Forces Medley—a tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the various branches of our military.

Festival Español – Gene Milford: Be swept away by the vibrant and rhythmic energy of Gene Milford’s “Festival Español,” a musical celebration that infuses the holiday spirit with a touch of Spanish flair.

The 12 Days of Christmas – Julie Giroux: Revel in the playful and imaginative interpretation of the classic holiday tune as the concert band embarks on a spirited journey through the twelve days of Christmas.

A Fireside Christmas – Sammy Nestico: Sammy Nestico’s composition will evoke the warmth and coziness of a fireside gathering, creating an intimate atmosphere that resonates with the true meaning of the season.

Symphonic Prelude on Adeste Fidelis – Claude T. Smith: Immerse yourself in the rich harmonies of Claude T. Smith’s symphonic prelude, a majestic interpretation of the timeless Christmas hymn “Adeste Fidelis.”

The concert will conclude with a spectacular grand finale featuring Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano, arranged by Tom Wallace, and the classic Auld Lang Syne arranged by Robert Longfield, bringing the audience together for a heartwarming conclusion to a evening filled with musical enchantment.

Disney at the Oscars – Relive the magic of Disney’s most beloved songs as they enchant the Oscars stage in this enchanting medley arranged by John Moss.

God Bless the USA–Conclude our patriotic journey with Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” a heartfelt anthem that celebrates the pride and resilience of the American spirit.
