Join us for an exciting afternoon of music as we explore a diverse range of iconic compositions, from classic marches to beloved show tunes, performed by our talented concert band. The program begins with the stirring Star Spangled Banner, arranged by James Swearingen, followed by Moorside March by Gustav Holst and The Earle of Oxford’s March by Gordon Jacob. Experience the beauty of Elgar’s Nimrod from Enigma Variations, arranged by Alfred Reed, and the lively Sea Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Our concert continues with selections from Mary Poppins, featuring the timeless tunes of Sherman & Sherman, followed by Robert Sheldon’s Lords of Greenwich. After intermission, we dive into Holst’s Second Suite in F, which showcases vibrant movements like I’ll Love My Love and Song of the Blacksmith. The evening also includes Memory from Cats, sung by the remarkable Drema Leonard-Alan, and a lively performance of British Eighth by Zo Elliot.

The program concludes with two powerful medleys: Pop and Rock Legends: Elton John and Music of the Beatles, both arranged to capture the essence of these musical giants. This is a concert filled with variety, heart, and musical excellence – a true celebration of beloved classics!
